But as a friend of mine stated a while back after experiencing multiple sessions with me, they are so much more than that.
Divination should be used as a tool of empowerment. As a contemplative mirror. As a map of each infinitely complex moment.
As an invocation to time itself.
The tarot is a very useful tool that most people either give way too much power, or dismiss the power of completely.

By reflective listening, intuitive inquiry, and the weaving in of more-than-human presence.
An Oracle Session is not a tarot reading. It is a spyglass to the heart.
Tarot is but one of many ways we will enact this way of exquisite seeing.

What is ALCHEMY?
ALCHEMY is a bundle of either 4 or 8 Oracle Sessions, scheduled at seasonal thresholds. Mindfully crafted to offer you a deeper sense of agency and clarity when dealing with the mysterious and inexplicable forces in your life, each ALCHEMY session is an invocation to the forces of nature that are most animate during each Equinox and Solstice.
With ALCHEMY, you will:
Learn how to yield to more-than-human bodies of relationality and support
Develop your intuition and capacity to recognise synchronicity
Notice limiting patterns of behaviour and disrupt them
Experience a profound level of witnessing and nonjudgement
Who am I?
SCOUT RAINER WILEY // Poet, Ritualist, Seer
Scout Rainer Wiley is a writer, diviner, and ritual artist living on lands traditionally tended by the Cherokee. Over the past 11 years of study and practise, Scout has learned directly with various ritual teachers, such as Josh Schrei, Jacquelyn Marie Shannon, and Jason McClain. Scout also draws from many theoretical frameworks, with influences from John Vervaeke, Catherine Bell, Timothy Morton, David Bohm, and more.
Scout’s dedication to bridging the worlds of intellect and intuition has led them to develop a well-rounded and methodical approach to ritual that rests on strong theoretical and experiential foundations. By weaving together threads of animist practice, systems theory, and religious studies, Scout’s mission is to catalyse a ritual revolution and midwife a global culture centered in ecospirituality, reciprocity, and authenticity.
Structure
Each session is structured so that you receive the most clear, concise, and compassionate messages possible.
Purification
About 15 minutes before we meet, I will cleanse my space and choose one grounding object for our invocation practise.
Invocation
Using the grounding object, we invite the animate forces appropriate to the current seasonal threshold. This takes about 5 minutes.
Intuitive inquiry
I will pull either three oracle cards, runes, or numbers to start the session. Using each symbol as a guide, I will ask three questions that I feel intuitively guided to ask. You are welcome to either answer them or simply contemplate them. This takes about 15-20 minutes.
Intuitive messages
During the next 30-45 minutes, I will pull 2 to 3 sets of 8-10 cards and deliver whatever messages want to come through. Before, during, and after this section of the reading, you are invited to ask specific questions. I’ll frequently check in to see if and how the messages are resonating.
Guidance
I’ll pull 4 oracle cards to see what actions you are being guided to take. This takes about 5-10 minutes.
Closing practise
The last 5 minutes we together acknowledge and express thanks to the more-than-human presences that we invited at the start. We may breathe together or do some mirrored movement to ground our bodies and release any stuck or stagnant feelings. I will send a recording of your session via email afterwards.

What if I just want to book one reading?

How long is each session?
Each session is 80 minutes. It gives us time to drop in, catch up, and be spacious and spontaneous while still being short enough to easily embed into your day.
I’ve never gotten a tarot reading before and I’m a bit skeptical. What’s going to happen?
There’s only so much I can explain about the tarot. It’s a mystery tradition for a reason! Basically, you can see it as attunement to cosmic-level informational patterns. In the trance state, I can identify non-linear correlational patterns and receive information non-locally. I offer my felt-sense interpretation of this information. Usually it’s pretty accurate, but it’s up to you to let me know if what I am sensing does not resonate. And if any of that sounds “woo” to you, you are probably in the wrong place. Try my divinatory prose poetry instead.
