Let your love kill every precious thing you dare to hold.
Collective Message #003
Collective messages, which used to be on my website, are migrating to Substack.
These are prose poems intended to be used either as creative inspiration & guidance or for entertainment purposes. They are based on a set of cards, runes, and numbers I pull intuitively every Wednesday.
I’ll post an old message from the website every Monday at 1PM and a new message every Thursday at 8 AM.
Marriage is a contract with entropy.
Yes, I will love. Yes, I will lose.
Yes, I will devote myself to that which will slowly crumble and die in my very arms.
You can get a little too used to wanting things. You can pine away without realising that your longing is a prayer.
You can miss the gifts you asked for when they show up at your doorstep if you aren’t ready to have them.
The death of desire is the birth of manifestation.
What does it mean to have something, to care for it, to maintain it? To become attached and still be ready to lose it?
What does it mean to ride the waves on the same board over and over again, until the board is offered in tatters to those very waters?
You are already the person who can hold it–that which you have always desired.
It’s not about capability, dear one, it is about willingness.
As a child, perhaps you craved responsibility. But perhaps you were not trusted with it.
Embedded in your body was the bane of the dragon, the delusion of preserving things, of saving them from the inevitability of their own destruction.
You learned not to trust yourself. You learned that you were incapable of holding. You learned that your mistakes were not welcome, that it wasn’t okay to ruin things, that entropy was a disease to be cured rather than a lover you ought to let fully enrapture you.
It is perfectly okay to ruin things.
The universe itself ruins things. It makes mistakes. It makes new discoveries and disrupts its own flows without warning or subtlety.
The universe frequently destroys itself.
Yes, your mistakes, too, are divine. Yes, the dishes you broke, the heirlooms you lost, the shoes worn down after only a few months of wearing them.
Hungrily, the gods ate them. A sacrifice is but an offering.
Wear things out. Ruin them. Slather them in blood and waste, flush them down the drain.
Cry for them. Sing to them as they make their inglorious departure, gone before their time.
Let your love kill every precious thing you dare to hold.
Numbers
3. Creativity. Manifestation. Self-expression.
2. Collaboration. Harmonisation of opposites. Duality/non-duality.
Note: 3 came first, then 2 came out. I was led to take both.
Rune
Kenaz. “Torch.” Traditions passed through generations. Direct transmission. Attraction & sex magic.
Druid Plant Oracle
Puffball. Inner connection. Mystery. Relief from pain.
Oracle of the Radiant Sun
Sun in Cancer: Resourcefulness. Support from kin. Emotional resources. Tending the home. Reunions. For some, indicates the father wound and healing the paternal line.
Jupiter in Aquarius: Innovation. Ingenuity. Humanitarianism. Coming together to solve problems in unique ways.
Jupiter in Pisces: Seduction. Sacrifice. Intuition about the desires of others. Vulnerability to deception. For someone this relates to the idea of what they think they wanted, but now realise is a pipe dream.
Sun in Capricorn: Achievement. Long-term commitments and responsibilities. Ambitions, leadership, influence.
Lord of the Rings Tarot
10 of Pentacles. Material wealth. An ending to a cycle of poverty. Familial bonds, long-term goals, strategies, ambitions. The plans one has for their life are coming to fruition. Reaping the benefits of hard work.
6 of Pentacles. Material flow. Commerce, generosity, reciprocity. Stability and balance.
Angel Tarot
Mahasiah, God The Saviour (4 of Wands) (rx). Rectification. Helps one live in peace with everyone. Stability. For some, it refers to creative collaborations and the manifestation of creative pursuits (for example: a production, a play, or an art or music project). The long-awaited revelry that follows a period of dedicated and diligent work.
Mumiah, God the End of the Universe (Death). Endings and rebirth. Influences health and longevity. The end of a cycle. Immanent change. For some, this Death comes as an indicator of liberation. Grief is present, but it feels like absolution.
Affirmators!
Manifestation. If you could have anything you wanted, what would it be? Get specific, and get greedy. You are holding a magic wand, and you can conjure up anything. Could it be that when you declare your wishes out loud you’re actually casting a spell for your dreams to come true? Or is it just that, in a very practical sense, the more people you speak with about your desires, the more folks there are who know what you want and might have the means to help you make them happen? Either way, stop waiting and start manifesting. (But don’t use that word if you don’t want to.)
Connection. I’m connected to the multitudes, and I can access their support at any time. Even a stranger offers a sense of comfort when they smile at me or make a dumb comment about the weather. Everyone is waiting to connect…all I need to do is open myself up and pay attention. (Note to self: work on witty banter about weather-related stuff.)
Options. As I open to the abundant possibilities of my life’s path, I’m reminded that I always have unlimited options. Life is a buffet, and I allow myself to choose whatever makes me happiest, without limiting thoughts like “you can’t put mac and cheese on your baked potato.”
