Tarot poem
The Emperor
Structure - Ambition - Control - Authority - Fathering
What news bear you, eagle on high,
for we walkers of the borderlands?
A reason for our sacrifice, pray tell.
What good would these walls be,
were it not for what space breathes between them?
The gold that leaks through little gaps
like the promise of a chaste love
feeds our starving hearts,
keeps our spears and spirits strong——
but not for long.
What news,
walkers of the borderlands,
do your starving hearts seek?
Are these walls not a play-space
waiting for with wonder to be filled?
These little gaps leak not gold.
They are merely mirrors;
You are that which you desire.
